I´ve always had a sensation seeking personality, which has caused me to live a lot, good and bad, and always have a lot of ideas. In my comics I can channel all of this. I like to create both more classically drawn comics and mix them with what I call shorties – text-only based comics and short comic stories, with traits from the meme and stand-up comedy world. A fascination over everything on this beautiful planet paired with a big portion of cynicism creates this comic – But almost..
I have been drawing and writing comics of and on since my teens, and one of the best things I knew growing up was when I got the comic magazine in the mailbox on Fridays and got to cuddle up in the sofa and just lay there for a little while and relax and enjoy some comics..
I come from Sweden but have traveled to many countries and lived in three continents. I was born in 1980.
The site was started in 2019. It´s called “But almost” because it´s a funny expression I often use. You can put it after a lot of things and it sounds funny, for example “There´s no need to panic ..but almost.”, or “It´s not that bad! But almost.”. And both “but” and “almost” are funny words, skeptical and not quiiite satisfied, just like many of my comics and shorties. And at the same time the expression “but almost” can also be very positive. It´s easy to be overly cynical, but often you can also say “It´s not perfect.. but almost..”.
The site also wants to be a change of pace from other fast-paced apps and platforms with constant status updates and interactions, that can be quite exhausting. Therefore I made a dedicated site for my comics, with the intent of creating a calm little oasis. 
New pauses may not always be posted with the same interval, but the goal is to be able to dedicate enough time to my comics and shorties to post every spring and fall!
